Ruth Jones
Ruth is a Senior Physiotherapist at the Nuffield Hospital, Leeds.
Ruth's Biography
Ruth graduated with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Salford in 2017. On graduating she went on to work in the NHS before moving on to specialise in MSK Physiotherapy in a variety of private settings. Ruth has completed a Master's degree in Advanced Physiotherapy from the University of Salford.
Ruth has a special interest in lower limb injuries; specifically running-related injuries. Ruth has competed at an international level of mountain running and understands the demands of high-level training and the importance of strength and conditioning for injury prevention in runners. Having experienced long-term injury herself, she also understands the psychological impact this can have on athletes.
Alongside this, Ruth also enjoys rehabilitating patients post orthopaedic surgery and helping them to get back to their usual level of function and activity; whether that be walking the dog or playing sports.
In her spare time Ruth trains and competes at road, cross country, and mountain running and tries to stay injury free by going to the gym for strength and conditioning work.
